Sweet Dana and Russell said “I do” at Charleston’s Magnolia Plantation and Gardens.  You would never be able to tell from their smiles that day that it was not only raining, it was downpouring with flooding rising, the weekend of hurricane Joaquin.  I think it’s safe to say that there wasn’t a single wedding vendor able to sleep this weekend, knowing all the weddings and events in the line of this storm.  Thankfully, Dana and Russell’s wedding was on Friday, making it possible for their entire team of vendors to navigate safely to Magnolia Plantation.  (As a side note, I have to say how incredibly proud I am to be part of the Charleston wedding industry that weekend.  I saw a community arise and businesses come together for the one purpose of doing everything humanly possible for these couples.  In fact, one of our photographer friends actually volunteered to photograph a wedding that the contracted photographer wasn’t able to attend due to closures and flooding!)  Cayleigh Hopkins of Ooh! Events (Now currently a lead planner with Sage Innovations!)  so beautifully coordinated Dana and Russell’s vendor team that you would have hardly known there was a major storm overhead!  Ben was honored to capture the newlyweds during their first dance inside the Carriage House.  Dana opted for a unique 30 x 30 inch canvas that turned out to be perfect for the symmetry and design of the draping and hanging floral centerpieces.  Dana’s ballgown was the most dreamy gown for her Magnolia Plantation wedding!  The Richard Bell Photography team captured the day perfectly and we are thrilled to share their images.  Needless to say, it was an honor to be part of Dana and Russell’s wedding day and we hope their live wedding painting brings years and years of joy as they remember their first dance surrounded by family and friends!
