We counted down the days and months leading up to Melinda and Scott's wedding day since the day they commissioned Ben to create a live wedding painting.  Not only are they the absolute sweetest bride and groom, but they chose Ashley of The Graceful Host to assist with the planning and design for their Mint Museum wedding.  We've been following The Graceful Host on Instagram (@thegracefulhost) for quite some time and truly, can't sing enough praises after having worked with her!  Ashley placed such attention to each and every detail, executed with both perfection and steeped with meaning and significance.  I will never forget Melinda's reaction as she viewed the reception space for the first time ... making this painting even more special to capture!  Ashley coordinated an incredibly talented team of vendors together to create a dream wedding at the Mint Museum.    The reception was full of light and pops of bright color with sparkling gold accents throughout.  The florals were overflowing with beauty, some of the most beautiful orchids we've ever seen!  Wow Factor Cakes created a both modern and delicate wedding cake, inspired by the embroidery detail on Melinda's gown.  Throughout the night, the dance floor was packed as Sol Fusion Band rocked the house!

When a couple comes together, they bring the best of both worlds.  This was {literally} the case for Stephanie and Patrick.  On their wedding day, guests joined together from all over the world for their romantic celebration here in Charleston, SC.  I {Jen} had so much fun getting to know Stephanie as she was planning the wedding and we were finalizing the wedding painting details.  Stephanie wanted to surprise Patrick and his family with the live painting as Patrick's mother is also an artist in Spain.  I will never forget seeing the couple together for the first time just after their first look!  Ben was set up painting outside the French Huguenot Church and the couple had such a sweet time taking photos!  The ceremony was followed by a reception hosted at McCrady's Restaurant just a few blocks from the church.  {By the way, McCrady's is a hidden gem and amazing reception space!}  Stephanie chose the perfect gown for her day, a Rivini gown with layers of French Alencon Lace that draped into a stunning silhouette.  Designer and Planner Lindsey Shanks, of A Charleston Bride, created not only a luxurious event, but an event that was a reflection of Stephanie and Patrick!  The photos below, by Ellis Photo Studio, give a small taste of this gorgeous event!  And speaking of taste ... check out that cake by Jim Smeal!  And before you click play on their wedding video, grab a box of tissues because tears of joy are sure to flow.  {Low Country Wedding Films are the masters behind that film.}  Cheers to Stephanie and Patrick, what a joy to be part of their wedding day!
