When scrolling through Instagram or Facebook, I know a Pure Luxe Bride Wedding when I see one.  Francesca + Blake are a dynamic duo that have not only coordination down to a science, but have truly fine tuned their aesthetic that I would consider both glamourous and full of love.  Jen + Jack's wedding was just that, so full of love with pops of glam!  The two said I DO at the Planter's Inn, tucked away in the heart of downtown Charleston.  The courtyard in between the hotel and the ballroom provided the perfect, intimate backdrop for their ceremony.  Jen's mom commissioned Ben to capture their ceremony as the subject for their live wedding painting.  The coral, pink tone to the Planter's Inn is oh-so-Charleston with the iconic palmetto's framing the walkway.  Ben really enjoyed capturing the pink-green feel along with the patterns from his vantage point.  The ceremony was followed by a reception inside the ballroom - the Pure Luxe Bride team created gorgeous lush-green table runners with glamorous centerpieces.  (Their reception could have easily been a gorgeous wedding painting, too!)  One of the best parts of hosting a wedding at Planter's Inn is hand down, their culinary experience!  (Side Note: If you're visiting Charleston, experiencing their coconut cake is a MUST - just go online and read the accolades for this cake!)  Peninsula Grill created an exceptional menu for their wedding day - quite possibly some of the best wedding food we've experienced!  Needless to say, from the florals, to the food, to the intimate and iconic Charleston setting, Jen + Jack's wedding day was just perfect!  We can't WAIT to share their finished live wedding painting alongside the gorgeous photography from Aaron + Jillian Photography!  (The absolutely captured the day perfectly, too!)

Dana + Russell

Magnolia Plantation and Gardens
Charleston, South Carolina
30 x 30 in. | Oil on Canvas

Sweet Dana and Russell said "I do" at Charleston's Magnolia Plantation and Gardens.  You would never be able to tell from their smiles that day that it was not only raining, it was downpouring with flooding rising, the weekend of hurricane Joaquin.  I think it's safe to say that there wasn't a single wedding vendor able to sleep this weekend, knowing all the weddings and events in the line of this storm.  Thankfully, Dana and Russell's wedding was on Friday, making it possible for their entire team of vendors to navigate safely to Magnolia Plantation.  (As a side note, I have to say how incredibly proud I am to be part of the Charleston wedding industry that weekend.  I saw a community arise and businesses come together for the one purpose of doing everything humanly possible for these couples.  In fact, one of our photographer friends actually volunteered to photograph a wedding that the contracted photographer wasn't able to attend due to closures and flooding!)  Cayleigh Hopkins of Ooh! Events (Now currently a lead planner with Sage Innovations!)  so beautifully coordinated Dana and Russell's vendor team that you would have hardly known there was a major storm overhead!  Ben was honored to capture the newlyweds during their first dance inside the Carriage House.  Dana opted for a unique 30 x 30 inch canvas that turned out to be perfect for the symmetry and design of the draping and hanging floral centerpieces.  Dana's ballgown was the most dreamy gown for her Magnolia Plantation wedding!  The Richard Bell Photography team captured the day perfectly and we are thrilled to share their images.  Needless to say, it was an honor to be part of Dana and Russell's wedding day and we hope their live wedding painting brings years and years of joy as they remember their first dance surrounded by family and friends!
