Ben loved creating Carla and Jason’s live wedding painting at The Willcox in Aiken, SC! And to be honest, we have fallen in love with The Willcox, Aiken, SC’s charming historic venue. The gorgeous southern architecture was the perfect backdrop for their live painting. The two danced the night away surrounding by best friends and family.
Sweet southern blues with a pop of pattern were a perfect compliment to the architecture at The Willcox.
And let’s talk about their design details … dusty blues and preppy striped linens styled with beautiful hydrangeas! Every detail was a southern dream! Architecture is actually one of Ben’s favorite subjects to paint! Rather than painting The Willcox straight on from the front, he opted to capture their reception at an angle! This perspective gives their painting such a dynamic composition. And ultimately, he was able to capture more of the front of the house!
It was so important for Carla and Jason to have their family included in their painting, too! And how sweet are the flower girls standing along the side of the dance floor, watching the first dance?
